I need an out-of-body kind of experience?

hey guys, i was wondering if you, yourself have experienced anything out of this world, or you know of anything that would open up your eyes to just, life. i guess what im trying to ask is an activity like skydiving, or something like that that will open your eyes and make you come to a complete and total realization of everything.
