Reason theists and atheists will never agree?

My opinion is that atheists are free to accept any evidence and build a conclusion based on that while theists already have a conclusion (there is a god) and must ignore or discredit anything that disputes this conclusion. Do any theists here agree that having a conclusion that is set in stone means you cannot look at all the evidence if that evidence contradicts your conclusion and that any evidence or opinion that contradicts your conclusion MUST be ridiculed or ignored?
